IMPORTANT BAT POLICY
ALL cricket bats sold through our company will show surface cracks and marks after use. That is the nature of wood. Players & customers must be responsible if the bats show signs of cracking or edging. Small surface cracks are normal but should be attended to immediately with maintenance and care. As a result of wild play, poor shot selection, incomplete knocking in or inaccurate play larger more serious cracks and marks may/will appear.
NO bat will be replaced by any company or manufacturer due to handle break (after warranty), edging or surface cracking. We will only repair bats as appropriate that fall under warranty. If the bat is a clear manufacturing fault it will be sent to the manufacturer for an assessment. A credit may follow and only in very exceptional circumstances a bat may be replaced.
§ Quality English Willow is a very soft natural product: it is not metal
§ Surface cracks are expected in ALL cricket bats and can be used as a guide of maturity for best bat performance. Do not panic, bat maintenance is recommended. If in doubt ASK US.
§ “Knocking in” is NOT an option but a NECESSARY process.
§ 85% of damaged bats are due to incomplete “Knocking In” especially on the outside inch of the bat or/and inappropriate shots. Punching a Yorker will damage your bat.
§ Polytec bat armour is the BEST product to enhance bat protection and performance.
§ There is a level of “bad luck” in cricket. Yorkers and lower bat life expectancy are within this “bad luck”. GOD does strike his finger at times.
